About Me
I am a writer and editor currently living in Cincinnati, Ohio. I’ve written extensively for a wide variety of magazines, served as editor on several titles and authored two novels.
It’s a tricky thing, working with words in the age of content. There’s just so much of it—from the endless cascade of news reports to those knee-jerk think pieces that follow to the response articles that trickle on for days to come, words fill our lives to overcapacity. Why would anybody want to put more out there?
I ask myself this, and the question has led me to a basic philosophical approach to my craft: The stuff needs to be good. Pieces should be fun or helpful (ideally both), and the onus is on me to give folks reason to spend time with something I’ve written or edited.
Engaging leads, well-structured stories, crafted sentences—whatever I can do to make an article or other piece of writing good, I will do. Because in the age of content, good stuff stands out.
Thanks for checking out my site.
